Three Seven Two - Newish bistro right on the Beach. Very good food
Waiheke Island Wineries and Vineyards / Restaurants
There are plenty of options, some are full restaurants and some just have a cellar door. Here are some of our favourites:
Frenchman’s Hill - Lovely cellar door where you can sit outside and take in the view. Platters of food available
Mudbrick Winery - There are two restaurants and the more casual one is Archive
Cable Bay Vineyard - Stunning sunset views back to Auckland City
Obsidian - Super rustic and worth a look. Probably only open weekends
Casita Miro - Funky Spanish joint, great location and food.
Batch Winery - Casual, family friendly and great views on a good day
Man ‘O’ War Vineyard - Beautiful setting right on the beach, its a great drive and do the loop, either way doesn’t matter but we prefer clock wise as you get better views. Great wines, but may only do platter food over winter
Wild on Waiheke - Top spot for casual lunch and great for kids as there is a trampoline and small playground
Passage Rock - Worth stopping in if on way back from Man ‘O’ War. Consistently make a great Syrah
Tantalus Estate - Simply stunning restaurant in a beautiful setting and very cool little craft brewery on ground floor. It is sometimes closed over summer for weddings
